The mic/line pre-amp is typically used in sound recording studios for recording individual tracks. A microphone is connected to an input, and the TMP ARM 1000 and ARM 2000 provides a line-level output. In most situations, the ARM TMP 1000 and 2000 preamp will feed directly to the input of the recorder or computer. A must for Front End digital recording!
The ARM TMP 1000 and 2000 are classic tube mic preamps. Because of the unique qualities of vacuum tubes, the ARM TMP 1000 and 2000 have a clarity, transparency, and warmth that solid state preamps lack. Enhance your front end recording for hard disk or reel to reel recordings.
The ARM TMP 1000 preamp and 2000 preamp are designed for use in the professional and personal recording studio environment. These pre-amps accept all low impedance balanced microphones. The ARM TMP 1000 preamp and 2000 pre amp feature a regulated +48 volt supply for phantom powering condenser microphones and a switchable 20 dB input pad.
They also contain a phase polarity reversal switch, a low impedance microphones switch typically transformerless types, and a true VU meter. These units are built to last, with top quality parts used throughout. All of the transformers and many other components are available from ARM, Toronto, Canada.
All four power supplies filament, phantom power, B+ and meter amp are solid state and fully regulated.
The ARM TMP 1000 and 2000 preamps are not mass-produced each one is hand made, burned in, tested and listened to before shipment to the customer.
